Its a strange atmosphere here. Nothing like it used to be before it changed over to the new place. You have to order from a kiosk, even though there is someone standing right in front of you doing nothing. sometimes you dont know exactly what the dish is but you have to order from the screen so your left to guess. There is no customer service here which is a big reason why I frequent some restaurants. I want to order from a person and have someone to ask about the dishes or substitutions. The first time I came here I walked out after trying to look through the kiosk menu because I didn't know what to order since there were a lot of pictures missing and I didnt know what the dish was. Plus it was hot inside and we wanted to sit down and eat. The second time we went 2 months later, it was the same experience. And it was hot inside with no AC. So we just ordered what looked familiar. It was good. Id give the food an 8 out of 10 but the atmosphere and lack of customer service doesn't make me want to come back.

The service was great, went in to order to go lunch for my co worker and I. The lady that took my order was very sweet. She brought my Thai tea out right after I paid and sat down to patiently wait for my order. There was no one else in there and she seemed to be rushing around and raising her voice in the back at the cook I think. I was in NO RUSH at at all!!! I sat down and scrolled around on my phone and I think the food was ready within 15 minutes or possibly less. I was surprised that it didn’t take that long then I was concerned that the shrimp I ordered wouldn’t be all the way cooked! So sure enough, I get to work, open up my food to eat it, and it was really good flavor, noodles were cooked all the way, but the shrimp was cooked for the most part but I did get a couple of pieces that weren’t cooked throughly. It wasn’t raw just not completely cooked. I would have felt better waiting an extra 10 minutes or so for them to fully cook the shrimp in my shrimp fried noodles. My coworker got the 6 piece dumplings and spring rolls. She said they were delicious. I will go back. Maybe I’ll just request something other than shrimp lol

Chop in Yucaipa is the real deal. The service is warm, the owner and cashier genuinely friendly, and the food hits the mark. We had the veggie fried rice and house special pho — both excellent. The rice had great flavour and texture, not dry or greasy. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re using a different grain altogether. The pho was just as satisfying — rich, clean, and comforting. I’m not a chef or a social media influencer. I just know good food when I taste it. You’ll have to go try it yourself. Now, if you care — I’ve been coming to Yucaipa twice a year for over 20 years, every summer and Christmas. Back then, Asian food around here was basically nonexistent. So finding a spot like Chop on this trip? That was a damn good surprise.

I’ve become a regular at this wonderful spot, and for good reason! The staff are always so sweet and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate any dietary restrictions or special requests I have. Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, but I have to give a special shout-out to their fried rice—it’s simply irresistible! This is one of those rare places where I can confidently order anything on the menu, knowing it’s going to be amazing. 😋
